Abdominal wall hernias

 

Abdominal wall hernias are bulges in the abdomen where created on the basis of abdominal wall disruption and usually occur in the groin area of the umbilicus, in the midline of the abdominal wall or postoperatively after previous abdominal operations. The usual surgical treatment is plastic repair with mesh except for few cases of midline where they usually repaired by simple sutures especially with a deficit  <2cm. The athletic pubalgia or sports hernia is characterized by intense pain in  the inguinal canal, is a special case that is treated by an experienced doctor because of  the coexistence other concomitant  problems beside the bulge of the inguinal canal which must be corrected surgically, and  after proper investigation with magnetic tomography to the problem from a skilled radiologist.
